The hotel is located on a quiet street with clean air, just outside the walls of the Old Town. It's a great value for money, with reasonable prices and attention to detail. The rooms, although not in great condition, have their own baths and hot showers. Additionally, the rooftop offers a breathtaking Mountain View. The homemade bread served at breakfast is a delightful touch.

The hostel had a wide range of facilities including a restaurant and entertainment options like a pool table and mini cinema. It also provided internet with included VPN, allowing easy access to blocked social networks. its proximity to the old town made it convenient for exploring the area.
The dorm I stayed in had a persistent smell of moist and dirty laundry, which affected the overall cleanliness. The bathroom was also not very clean, which was a disappointment.

The hotel offered complimentary English movies on demand and the staff's English was good enough. We loved the location, it was just a walk away from the old city. The view from our room was amazing.
The hotel's food and drinks were too expensive. The noise echoed and it was difficult to quietly leave or enter the room without disturbing others.

If you're looking for a quiet place to stay just outside the village, The Jade Emu International Guesthouse is a great choice. It is conveniently located close to Dali airport and the public bus station with bus lines to the train station and Three Pagodas. The rooms are spacious and cosy, equipped with comfortable beds and clean sheets. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. The guesthouse also offers a nice cafe/bar, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Furthermore, the guesthouse provides lockers with sockets inside, allowing for secure storage and convenient charging of electronic devices.
One aspect that could be improved is the service at the restaurant. Although the food is delicious, the service can be slow and inefficient at times.
